DEFINED: The special ability given by God to welcome, entertain

and other services to visitors or guests

CHARACTERISTICS:

• Opens home willingly
• Don’t complain and seem to be easy going
• Hospitality before pride
• Love stranger and feel perfectly at ease with them
• Expect no return invitation
• Homes are warm and inviting
• Don’t worry if their home does not look perfect when

people arrive

CAUTIONS:

• Be cautious and discerning about who you invite into

your home

• Be accepting and patient with those who do not have

the gift

• Conference hostess
• Big Sister/Big Brother program
• Entertainment services in your church
• Greeter for potential new members
• Arranging receptions, banquets and special functions
• Foster parent program
• Exchange Student host/hostess
