DEFINED:  The special ability that God gives to certain members

of the body to contribute their material resources to the work of the Lord with liberality and cheerfulness

CHARACTERISTICS:

• Love for God, not public attention
• Desire to share with those in need
• Love for those to whom he/she gives
• May not be directly involved with day-to-day activities of ministries to which they give
• Often motivate others to give
• Will often ask, “Are the bills getting paid?”
• Are delighted when their gifts are an answer to prayer
• Do not like to be pressured into giving
• Give quality items

CAUTIONS:

• Remember that God is your source
• Remember that others may need encouragement to tgive
• Maintain balance in your giving
