Hello, My name is Elisa, and I am a research assistant working with Dr. Kirsty Clark, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Health, and Society at Vanderbilt University. We are recruiting parents of LGBTQ+ teens for a paid ($40) research study funded by the National Institute of Mental Health. Specifically, we are recruiting parents of LGBTQ+ teens aged 13 to 17 who live in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Tennessee for a conversation to hear more about their experiences parenting an LGBTQ+ teen in the US South. Topics in the conversation will include stressors and supports, as well as their thoughts and opinions on a future smartphone study that we are developing to learn more about LGBTQ+ teen mental health and how we can support LGBTQ+ teens in the US South. As an LGBTQ-affirmative church in the state of Alabama, we would greatly appreciate if you could share information about our study with parents, caregivers, and/or other LGBTQ-affirmative groups and organizations in your networks. We would sincerely appreciate it if you could share the attached flyer to any potential participants through your organization or other advocacy work. Feel free to direct any interested community members to our website: https://www.ClarkLabVU.com to learn more about our team and work. Please feel free to email us with any questions. My name is Elisa, and I am a research assistant working with Dr.
