DEFINED:  The special ability that God gives to certain members

of the body to communicate information relevant to the

health and ministry of the body and its members in such a

way that others will learn.

 

CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Receive a great joy from studying the Word and doing

biblical research

  • Prefer to use biblical examples rather than personal

experience

  • Like to present truth systematically
  • Fully expect people to learn from their classes or their

writing

  • Some use gift through media; radio or TV
  • Are patient with their students

 

CAUTIONS:

  • Be careful to present information in an interesting

fashion

  • Lessons need to have practical application
  • Avoid a prideful attitude about the knowledge you have
